Managing Partner & Founder

Renee founded Bonterra Partners in 2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has since been dedicated to promoting sustainable land use and other natural capital investments in Latin America and beyond.

Renee was formerly Senior Vice President, Real Assets at New Island Capital, where she focused on investments in sustainable and regenerative agriculture and forestry in the Americas and the rest of the world. Previously, she was Private Equity Executive at RIT Capital Partners plc in London, a £3 billion publicly-listed investment trust in the United Kingdom chaired by Lord (Jacob) Rothschild until 2019. At RIT, she invested in early and growth-stage companies in multiple sectors and held various board seats. She also worked at Pantheon in London and San Francisco, helping complete one of the firm's largest private equity secondaries transactions at that time.

Renee holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. She speaks Chinese (fluent), Spanish (intermediate) and Japanese (basic).
